South Africa Bound

Hello All,

Since I dont have all the information on what I will be doing with my team in South Africa this summer2012, I started this blog to keep you all up to speed as I receive updates.

So far we all know the basics:

-trip length - a little over 2 weeks leaving around the 25 of may
-church we are partnering with - Doxa Deo. If you'd like to know more about this amazing church check out their website: www.doxadeo.co.za It really is an amazing church that not only expanded all over South Africa, but they also have campuses in London and New Zeeland.
-Overall, there are 60-70 people signed up to go which will be split into 6-7 teams. They selected 6 guys and 6 girls to co-lead each team together. We haven't found out who we are paired with and won't know our teams for 2 more weeks. I can't wait!
-What we will be doing in South Africa: The teams will fly together into South Africa and split off to different parts of the country with specific missions per team. All teams are partnering with a church called Doxa Deo, which has 15 church plants all over South Africa. It will be a unique opportunity as we team up with these church plants to help serve their community alongside them through evangelism, worship, orphan care and construction.

Prayer requests:
-Faith in God's provision for finances... it's a little daunting at this stage in the beginning
-God would be readying not only our hearts, but also those of the people we will interact with in South Africa for those divine appointments God is setting up
